The artists of Sail and Board Rotations are back. After a pretty long winter break the challenge for points and the Worldchampion title 2009 finally begun at Costa Teguise - Lanzarote at the 2009 PWA Worldcup between the 30th of june - 04. july. It has been pretty exciting for all Competitors, Judges and Spectators to see some new faces on the Tour like EFPT Tour Leader Steven van Broekhoven from Belgium and almost all Jericoacoara Locals from Brasil and nobody knew exactly if there would be some new Moves and which could those be. Would it be another year where Worldchampion Gollito Estredo will battle it out with Kiri Thode and Marcilio Browne of could somebody interfear ? |

It was really about time for the first Competition. Unluckily the wind wasn´t enough to start at the first day of the Event, even with the 5,6 sails the guys could just pump themselves into some Moves which has been already impressive but still didn´t show the right picture of who might be a favourite for this season. Also the Ladies get their first chance to show what they have been training hard for the entire winter and if somebody might catch up with Worldchampion Sara Quita Offringa from Aruba, who didn´t loose a single Heat in the 2008 season. The forecasts predict a really good setup for the remaining four days of Competition.... stay tuned and enjoy the Foto Galery...... |
